Structure is vital to any garden - large or small. I love working with hedges, but adding personality to the garden with what that hedge contains. These days my style has become a lot looser and natural for my own gardens, heavily influenced by the New Perennialist Movement of the northern hemisphere. And I love incorporating NZ natives in where they suit the site. But I love all sorts of gardens, and can design to suit my client and the site.
