REVISIT: RIVERSTONE PARK, MASTERTON

Created in the heart of a new major subdivision in Solway, this park essentially needed to have open space for the community to utilise. With Dingo Nick and his team doing the hard landscaping - bollards, paths, earthworks etc - my team did all the planting. Then we handed it over to the MDC to take over as a public park.

I revisited the other day and took photos, and particularly enjoyed how my bollards and boulders were looking along the footpath. The trees are maturing, and the earth mounds help separate it from the busy road beyond.

Note: a major constraint was an open stormwater drain running right through the middle, hence the flaxes planted to try and stop balls rolling into the drain!
